Jessica Kosydar, Columbia County Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Coordinator, has been awarded the 2025 Individual Outstanding Service Award by the Oregon Health Authority. The award recognizes a PHEP coordinator who has made a significant contribution to the field in the past year.
Kosydar was honored for her leadership and dedication in strengthening Columbia County’s ability to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies. Her efforts have improved local coordination, supported vulnerable populations, and enhanced community resilience.
“Jessica’s commitment to public health preparedness is unmatched,” said Jaime Aanensen, director of Columbia County Public Health. “She brings clarity, professionalism and a calm, solutions-focused approach to every challenge. We are incredibly proud to have her on our team.”
The award was presented at the 2025 Annual Oregon Epidemiologists' Meeting, which brings together public health professionals from across the state to share best practices and recognize outstanding achievements in the field.
