Parks, Forests, and Recreation

*Campfires are currently permitted at all County Parks*

Welcome to Columbia County's Playground! Less than an hour from the Portland Metropolitan area, we're the ideal place to spend the day or get away from it all by camping in one of our five spectacular campgrounds.

There's something for everyone here: enjoy world-class windsurfing, fishing, boating, canoeing, bird-watching, cycling, camping, picnicking, horseback riding, historic buildings, and much more.

We're proud that the famous Columbia River hugs our shoreline, offering some of the most exceptional recreation opportunities anywhere. Columbia County is fortunate to have this recreational resource and has, in turn, developed a full-service parks system, offering direct access to the nation's second-largest river system.

Nature is at its best here in Columbia County, and you can view it up close at one of several county facilities. Camp Wilkerson, Hudson-Parcher Park, and Scaponia Park all offer glimpses of a multitude of birds and animals in their natural habitat. Walk among the wildflowers and forests and discover a new meaning for the word "relaxation."

We invite you to discover for yourself what so many already know about Columbia County. So make plans to relax, and come see us! If you haven't visited Columbia County's parks yet, you are in for a treat!
